Halibut Parents and Swimmers:

We have just over a week left before the 2026 summer swim team season begins! A quick reminder to everyone that our annual Halibut Parents' Meeting will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, May 19th at 7:30 p.m. at the Herndon Community Center in Community Room #1. 

The team website is now fully updated for this season, including a printable PDF event calendar with important dates and deadlines. If you catch any outdated information or errors, please let me know!

New families on this year's team should have gotten an activation email from SwimTopia to set up an account. We will go over how to use the website at the meeting tomorrow. In the meantime, if you would like for more than one email address to be attached to your swimmer's account, we can accommodate. Please provide the name of your swimmer, and the name and email address for the additional parent or guardian. You can reply directly to this email with that information. 

Our team suit this year will be the same as last year's suit. It can be purchased through the Halibut Team Store* from now through May 31st. If you are unsure of your swimmer's suit size, a sizing kit will be available during the first week of practices. Swimmers must be completely dry to try on suits. The sizing kid will also be available at the Parents' Meeting.

The suits will be available for pickup at HCC at some point during the week preceding our first meet. While we recommend purchasing a team suit, it is not required. 

*Note that the "Vortex" patterned suit is the team suit. The solid color suit options have been provided as an alternative, if the Vortex suit is not available in your chosen size. There has been fluctuating inventory in a few sizes.
