Halibut Parents and Swimmers:

Our 2024 Herndon Halibuts summer swim team season will begin practices on May 28th! We are looking forward to catching up with returning swimmers and welcoming all of our newcomers to the team. 

This email is going out to both our current 2024 registrants and last season's 2023 roster. If you are planning to return to the team from last year, don't forget to register! We really hope to see you!

The first event for 2024 will be our Halibut Parents' Meeting. This meeting will take place next Saturday, May 18th, at 5:00 p.m. in the Herndon Community Center gymnasium. 

We strongly recommend attending the Parents' Meeting, especially if you are new to the team. At the meeting, we will introduce our coaching and aquatics staff, talk about this season's schedule, and cover many of the topics contained within our Team Handbook. 

We will also have our team suit sizing kit available. For this reason, swimmers are welcome to attend the meeting. Our team suit for 2024 is available to order via our Herndon Halibuts Team Store. 

The sizing kit will also be available during the first two days of practice. Separate arrangements to use the kit can be made by contacting Coach Jenna. Orders for the suit will close after practices on May 29th, so that we can ensure delivery before our first swim meet. For more information about our team suit, visit the Equipment and Attire section of our Team Handbook. Please note that while purchase of a suit is encouraged, it is not required.
